Demountable bodies on 3.5-tonners are nothing new. Ray Smith's Metro Swap, for ample, uses larger vehicles to trunk 3.5-tome bodies, which are then transferred to tall chassis for final delivery. A variation on this theme emerged this year when arose, the food retailer in the John Lewis partnership, launched its homelivery service, called Ocado. It uses interchangeable boxes (or 'pods', as ado calls them) manufactured by Paneltex.
