• As a result of the Department of the Environment's announcement that an hgv driving licence will be required for vehicles of 7.38 tons (7.5 tonnes) gross and above after January 1, 1976, British Leyland is now offering a choice of Terrier models for use under existing or proposed new regulations.
Both 7.5 and 8.5-ton-gvw Terriers can currently be bodied under 3 tons unladen weight and British Leyland will offer a spring conversion for existing Terrier 750s together with a new plate at 7.38 tons shortly before the hgv driving licence regulations become operative.
However, should an operator require a 7.38-ton version before 1976 these are available now from Leyland Redline distributors.
