• Park's of Hamilton will take delivery of 50 Volvo BlOM 12 metre coaches with Plaxton Paramount 3500 bodies by the end of this month. The vehicles are painted in Park's own livery and in the liveries of its Trafalgar Holidays and Contiki operations.
The company has ordered 60 similar coaches for delivery early next year.
Plaxton has also sold 42 Paramount 3200 bodies of Leyland Tiger 12 metre chassis to Smith Shearings of Wigan. The bodywork contract alone is worth £2 million and Shearings has ordered 40 vehicles more for delivery by the end of the year.
