• Transport minister Peter Bottomley is expected to talk about simplifying the law as it applies to road hauliers when he makes his keynote speech at the Commercial Motor Fleet Managers Conference on 27 April.
Taking the theme of the conference, The Law is the Limit, Bottomley is expected to stress the role of the industry in maintaining professional and responsible standards.
TNT's Group Traffic Officer, Bob Adamson, a former traffic policeman, is to give a major presentation on how to operate efficiently and effectively within the law.
CM has also arranged for a top transport lawyer from international law firm Charles Church to present the likely development of road transport law in Europe.
