SIR GEORGE BEHARRELL, chairman of the Dunlop Rubber Co., Ltd., has been decorated with the Order of Commander in the Order of Orange Nassau by the Royal Netherlands Government. The honour has been conferred in recognition of assistance given to the Netherlands during the war years and during the difficult period of post-war reconstruction.

MR. ALONZO LIMB has been appointed chairman of J. B. Pillin and Co., Ltd., in succession to MR. J. B. PILLIN, who, as reported in "The Commercial Motor" last week, died recently. Mr. Limb is joint managing director of C. C. Wakefield and Co., Ltd., and was appointed deputy chairman of the Pillin concern after the company joined the Wakefield group in 1947, CAPT. J. C. BULLOCK, who recently resigned the position of director of Brush Coachwork, Ltd., has been appointed managing director of Garlick, Burrell and Edwards, Ltd., Liverpool, and a director of Braid Bros., Ltd., Chester Engineering Co., Ltd., Sottthport Engineering Co., Ltd., and William Chq.ter Bros. (Burton-on-Trent), Ltd. He was co-leader of the Thelon Arctic Expedition which explored Central Canada for radium. He has had extensive experience of the motor industry in America.

MR. H. KOLBERG, of Kol berg Caspary and Co.; Oslo, was one of the interested visitors at Ladbroke Hall during the recent exhibition of the new Commer models with under-floor engines. As a matter of interest, he brought with him the original agreement entered into between his company and Commercial Cars, Ltd. (as the Commer concern was then known) in July, 1910. At that time nine models were listed, chassis prices ranging from £380 to £600.
