• A Barnsley roadside cafe has been told it will have to close, even though more than 3,000 drivers have signed a petition to keep it open.
Wendy's Cafe will have to shut by 28 March because local councillors say it is hindering inward investment on the Wentworth Park industrial estate.
Wendy Green and Ivor Wheatfield, who run the awardwinning cafe, say they considered a judicial review but dismissed it as too expensive: "It would have cost L10,000," says Wheatfield.
But they have not given up the fight and plan to defy the council by keeping Wendy's Cafe open.
