• Launching a complex range of vehicles across an entire continent is a massive undertaking: between January and March around 12,000 people, mainly dealer personnel, will be attending a launch briefing in Seville.
The Transit's first official public appearance will be at the RAI show in Amsterdam at the beginning of February, and rearwheel-drive models
(initially built at Genk in Belgium) are scheduled to go on sale in the UK on 23 March. These will be medium and long-wheelbase vans, and all variants of the (singlecab) chassis-cab.
Front-wheeldrive models will follow in August as the Southampton
plant starts production.
