• A conductress who admitted that she had been "too soft hearted" and allowed passengers to travel without paying fares had her appeal against dismissal rejected by an industrial tribunal at Berwick, Northumberland.
She had been employed by Scottish Omnibuses Ltd for more than 30 years but admitted that she had previously been warned about not collecting fares. The tribunal decided that the dismissal was justified.
