The licence held by North London waste disposal contractor Anthony Lloyd, trading as Alloyd, has been revoked. Lloyd, of Neasden Goods Yard, Neasden Lane, Neasden was called before South Eastern & Metropolitan LA Brigadier Michael Turner at an Eastbourne disciplinary inquiry following a series of prohibition notices since his previous appearance at a public inquiry in March 1994. Turner said he would not take account of an immediate prohibition imposed in a roadside check the previous day for a seized load-sensing valve. For Lloyd, Colin Ward said maintenance problems had been caused by Lloyds' ill health. Since his son-in-law Bob Wallace took over the day-to-day management in January there had been no prohibitions, apart from the unfortunate incident the previous day. Five vehicles had been examined during a fleet check by the vehicle examiner without any prohibitions. Turner said Lloyd's poor health meant he no longer met the requirements of a licence holder.Lloyd is to appeal.
