iipTANKER specialist Redway European is looking to increase the authorisation at its '' existing operating centre at the West Bank Doek Estate in Widnes. Cheshire to 30 vehicles and 40 trailers. Gregory Wright, managing director, tells CM: "We are basically running at full capacity at the moment, so we want to apply for several more just in case. It doesn't relate to a specific contract or a new contract, it just gives us a bit of flexibility in terms of expanding in the future.''
Redway specialises in the transportation of hulk liquids in the chemical, food, and water treatment industries, and has a fleet of rubber-lined tankers.
All drivers at the firm are A DR qualified.
Its fleet carries a wide range of chemicals from cleaning agents for the food and brewing industries, acids for agriculture, through to solvents and fuel oils.These include ferric and ferrous chloride.Wright adds: "We plan to remain a tanker specialist and are locking to the future with confidence."
