FULL MARKS to National Carriers for the design of a neat visible-index file measuring about 81/2in by 6in and giving information about its parcels services from 14 distribution centres.
Each centre has a card telling the customer what he needs to know, including times of departure and arrival of direct nightly service to main destinations and a town map showing the location of the depot. Services outside England and Wales are summarised on a separate card. A map of England and Wales indicates the area covered by each centre.
This kind of constructive publicity does more to build confidence in practical efficiency than all the ballyhoo of a costly national advertising campaign.
