• Commercial vehicle manufacturer Boughton International has been bought by venture capitalist company Manrow Venture Partners.
Robert Boughton, marketing manager at the 100-year-old vehicle manufacturer, says the deal has "saved his company's future which was in financial difficulty". Although there are no job losses at present, Boughton says an evaluation of the company's future will take place soon. The aim will be "to keep as much of the core business as is possible", he says.
The Amersham based firm is most famous for its production of airfield crash tender vehicles and hook loaders.
