Caring for the environment doesn't just mean cutting carbon emissions. It means taking responsibility for the effects of our actions on the communities around us and returning some of that bounty.
Good neighbour principles are an important part of any environmental campaign. Encourage your local community to understand what you do and how you operate. Offer to help with road safety initiatives or choose a local charity. You don't have to give lots of money, just get involved with raising it. If you are seen as an indifferent neighbour, your claims to be saving the world may lack impact. Obviously, this means having a clean yard, good safety policies, minimal noise emissions and an open dialogue with community members who may have concerns.
