A £15m tender for a 7.83 mile M20 motorway extension in Kent has been accepted by the Department of Transport.
Dowsett Engineering Construction is to build the section of the mid-Kent motorway between Ashford and Sellinge with dual carriageways.
The M20 is intended eventually as a 50-mile continuous motorway between Swan ley and Folkestone which will connect with the M25 London orbital route and give through motorway facilities from the Midlands to the Channel ports. ports.
