DETECTIVES are treating as arson a blaze which gutted the offices of a Tyneside haulage depot.
The fire, which caused thousands of pounds worth of damage, destroyed the offices of Arthur Turnbull in North Shields. It was spotted by a police patrol.
Luckily much of the firm's paperwork is either handled from its head office in Birmingham or sent there after contracts are complete. Some invoices and delivery notes were destroyed in the fire.
None of the firm's four lorries based at the Tyneside depot were damaged by the fire.
