A SEMINAR on energy saving in transport and distribution is being held at St Ermin's Hotel in London on September 25.
Organised by the Institute of Management Services, the seminar will include papers on the problems of the transport fleet manager, with particular emphasis on fuel economy and on the use of fuel-metering systems.
There will also be a paper on the use of the tachograph and other devices in relation to fuel economy.
Dr Michael Jewess of the Energy Technology Support Unit of the Department of Energy will discuss some of the technical options which could be available to road users in the future to improve fuel economy and increase fuel flexibility.
