MY paragraph about hauliers' house journals has prompted Mrs H. M. Russell to tell me that she has become editor of a guar terly newsletter introduced by the Peter Lane Group of Bristol.
Its title, Planets BW, would baffle even my friend who does The Times crossword puzzle in ink in 20 minutes flat. Planet, believe it or not, is derived from Peter Lane (Transport) Ltd; the final "s" from A. Smith Transport Ltd; "8" from Brooks Machinery Transport Ltd and Bishopsworth Commercial Body Builders, and "W" from Peter Lane (Warehousing) Ltd.
It is all clever stuff but I still don't know what it means.
