• Manchester-based Bergan Transport has the first of a new range of lightweight intermodal trailers from King Trailers. The 12.2m rolling-bogie tri-axle container carrier weighs in at just 5.0 tonnes and is rated at 44 tonnes GCW. It has a 190mm-deep ISO profile neck, 8,0mm rubbing plate and the moveable subframe's longitudinals slide on heavyduty low-maintenance rollers.
Location is via a three-position locking device which enables a centrally located 20footer to be dock loaded but it can also carry 30 and 40ft containers or 13.6in intermodal bod
ies. Running gear is RO-R TE519000 with Bridgestone 385/65R 22.5s.
