INOPERATIVE LIME
Falsifying tachograph records and using a vehicle when its speed limiter was inoperative has led to the HGV driving licence of John Maguire, a chemical tanker driver employed by Widnes-based Gussion Transport, being suspended for three months. Maguire appeared before North Western TC Beverley Bell at a Trafford disciplinary inquiry.
UNSEALED TACHOGRAPH
Using a vehicle with an unsealed tachograph and when the speed limiter had been interfered with led to Antrim lorry driver Delton Lambert being fined £400, with £70 costs, at Chester magistrates court. Lambert failed to appear and the case was proved in his absence.

A series of prohibition notices has led to the licence held by Evesham-based ART Transport being suspended for a month. The firm appeared before West Midland TC David Dixon at a Birmingham disciplinary inquiry.
