SHELL is hoping for a better response from transport operators to its Energy Award competition in 1984 than last year, the first time the competition has been held, when no valid entries in the transport category were received.
The Shell Energy Awards are intended to encourage schemes which are effective in the control of energy use and provide information on aspects where waste is occurring. Any transport company with a fleet of six or more licensed vehicles is entitled to enter in the transport category. Entrants will need to include a concise report of up to 2,000 words describing their energy monitoring and target setting schemes.
Closing date for entries in 1984 is April 30. Entry forms and full details of the competition are available from UKPA/13, Shell Ltd, Shell-Mex House, Strand, London WC2R ODX.
