have joined the Kennerty Farm Dairies 500-strong fleet operating throughout Scotland. They are fitted with insulated box bodies built by Commercial Coachbuilders of Renfrewshire. During delivery the loads are chilled using Thermo King SH-1500 units; Ratcliffe tail-lifts assist with loading.
Teaming up • Seddon Atkinson has moved its parts department from Preston to Iveco Ford's parts department at Winsford, Cheshire. The move is designed to improve parts distribution to dual-franchise IFT/Seddon Atkinson dealers and will help with computerising the operation.
Tough tyres • Michelin is adding two 80 Series tyres to its range. The XDE1 drive-axle tyre and the XZE1, for non-driven axles, are designed to cope with tough operating conditions, from local deliveries to motorway trunking.
Turbo total • Turbostar production has topped the 50,000 mark. Since launching the range in 1984 Iveco has introduced regular revisions culminating in the 358kW (480hp) engine in 1989 and homologation of all its engine options last year to meet the Euro-1 emission standard.
