launched its Tru-Hitch Type 240 tractor/trailer recovery unit at the Automechanica show in Frankfurt.
The model shown was built on to a long-wheelbase MAN tractor. It is priced at about £35,000 and can rescue casualties up to 38 tonnes gross. The electro hydraulically elevating assembly mounts to the artic unit via a standard fifth wheel arrangement and is suitable for use with drive axles up toll tonnes.
The under reach arms and their extensions have standard recovery fitments; when not in use the arms fold forward over the tractor chassis.
