invested almost £1.1m in 65 new 13.6m curtainsided semi-trailers from Craven Tasker and Boalloy. Craven Tasker is disposing of 50 of Curries' surplus units via its sister company Euro Trailer Sales.
Some 32 of the curtainsiders are 4.0m high, 85m3 units for shifting auto-products and general use on the Continent. The rest are built to 4.2m for UK operations at 32 tonnes gross.
All have air suspension and are designed to be uprated to 40 tonnes as soon as limits permit.
With a new HQ in Dumfries and an updated trailer fleet, Curries' group UK and European directors Alistair Cook and George Henderson are optimistic about the company's ability to handle any future upturn.
