The six-month rotating Presidency of the Council of the EU passes to Cyprus from 1 July, replacing Denmark. The Danish presidency worked hard to make a case for greater use of 60-tonne lorries across Europe, having carried out its own successful trials in Denmark. Cyprus has not yet revealed its transport priorities.
