Contrary to your implication, all the major players in the industry (NFC, TDG, P&O, TNT, Wincanton, DFDS, etc) are anxious to recruit specialist graduates in transport, distribution and logistics.
They regularly tell us that there is a shortage of such people for their needs.
These are also the industry players who, by and large, make satisfactory profits, unlike your old friend Joe Soap, so it could be that we know a thing or two.
Tell Joe next time you see him to throw away his Grandfather Rights CPC and sign up for a course.
