BECAUSE greater food rations created more traffic, the Northern Licensing Authority, last week granted Northern Film Transport, Kentmere, a licence for an oil-engined vehicle to replace a smaller petrol model. The firm were largely engaged in carrying foodstuffs for wholesalers and were stated to be nearly a month in arrears with deliveries.
The Railway and Road Haulage Executives objected.
