HM REVENUE AND Customs (HMRC) has dismantled a large fuel laundering plant in the Silverbridge area of North Armagh and seized 10,0001it of illegal fuel.
The estimated output of the plant was 105,0001it per week, equating to a potential loss to the Exchequer of nearly £3.3m per year. HMRC removed 10 tonnes of toxic acid waste; storage tanks, generators, pumps and filtration equipment were also seized.
