• The London Boroughs Transport Scheme has prosecuted four more operators for breaking the London Lorry Ban.
On 31 January, Walton Street Magistrates fined Robin Boynton of Euro Clad, Rumney, Cardiff £150 with £40 costs; D Cross of Hales Waste Control of Waltham Cross £150 with 240 costs; Andrew Kevin Costello of JKL Transport of Southwark 2150 with £40 costs; and Gerald Poat of Langdons, Walford Cross, Taunton £100 with 240 costs.
O Goods vehicles are threatened with a 20mph (32km/h) urban speed limit.
The 'Department of Transport is talking to the police and local authorities about establishing low-speed zones, and a consultative document is expected soon.
