Dealing with 1976-77, the !port covers an area surmunding the Firth of Forth, tcluding Edinburgh, Glenromes, Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline, tirling, Falkirk, Livingston id Dunbar. The object is to precast the manpower needs the industry, and from this precast the volume of training id facilities required.
On this, the report says, that ith the exception of passenr transport, the volume of aining activities in the dustry had declined, in cent years. This had caused mncern in the managerial, mpervisory, craft and hgv iver fields.
"Levels of apprentice reImitment, in recent years, we been insufficient to aintain the current craft bour force. If these requireents are to be met, additional tegrated course-facilities ill be needed," the report arns.
