• Feder is selling its Alpha 3000 8x4 rigid/tipper chassis to a diverse range of operators; Hanson Brick has bought six for brick and block deliveries. The Hanson vehicles will be based at the firm's Peterborough depot, and are planned to have a working fife of eight years at 70,000 miles a year.
They all have sleeper cabs and Cummins' M11 ESP engine— this has a dual power rating of 305hp or 340hp according to load and road conditions, to optimise fuel economy.

Select Plant Hire of Essex has also chosen the straight front axle for the Cat-powered Alpha 8x4s which will replace its existing fleet. All 15 vehicles are due to be in operation by the end of this month.
