humble 3C 11 retains all the abilities that make the latest version a strong contender in its class. There's a sense of solid engineering down below that comes across in its everyday role.
This Canter drives with confidence, offering an element of cornpliance and forgiveness not generally associated with cab-forward set-ups, while the Comfort cab's added width addresses the problem of driver and passenger space.
Exterior noise is impressively subdued and the engine provides enough urge to cope with a decent load —though operators who usually run fully freighted might be well advised to step up a power rating. In any case the power could be better utilised with revised gearing and a smoother shift to help make the best of the engine.
That aside, the entry level Canter is a well built, capable package that retains the traditional cabforward benefits of manoeuvrability and compactness while further evolving the design.
