IVF.00 HAS launched the updated .Stralis and, as predicted, by Commercial Mmor, it's only available in Euro-5:111e new range will cost up to 5% more than the old model when it arrives in July.
David Burke, product director at lveco UK, says: "This isn't a knee-jerk reaction to the EGR issue, but a genuine product differentiator. Eliminating Euro-4 will also help boost residual values."
The new Stralis boasts upgrades including 20% more room in the new high-roof SuperCube version and a revised instrument layout. Power comes from Cursor 8, 10 and 13 engines rated at 310-560hp.
UK marketing director Andrea Bucci expects the SuperCube cab and 500hp Cursor 13 engine to he the top seller. He believes the Stralis could take 7% of the UK tractor market. Iveco's European year-on-year sales were up by 23% in the first two months of 2007,
