• Two youths have been charged after a driver narrowly escaped with his life when a rock was hurled at his truck as he drove down the M3 in Hampshire.
The arrests come two months after the tragic killing of Ford driver Michael Little in a similar incident just two miles away when a rock was thrown through his windscreen. Ponce stress the two occurrences are not linked.
The incident happened last Sunday 4 May at around 8.30pm. The Iveco truck was travelling southbound when it was hit by the object thrown from a footbridge spanning the motorway at Farnborough.
The driver managed to pull onto the hard shoulder, and he escaped uninjured but his vehicle sustained damage to its roof.
A boy aged 12 from Farnborough and a girt 14, from Sandhurst, Berkshire have been bailed to appear at Basingstoke Youth Court on 14 May.
There is still a £25,000 award outstanding offered by Michael Little's employers following the incident in Camberley.
