The Glasgow centre of IOTA has been awarded the Frank White trophy for the second time. The trophy is presented to the centre with the best recruitment record during the preceding year. The Glasgow centre found difficulty in mustering six members 10 years ago, today it has 135. The trophy was received by Mr D. P. Mitchell of Roadline at the Institute's conference at the weekend.
The vehicle exhibition held in conjunction with the conference and organised by David Lowe is to be repeated next year when the 33rd conference is held at Leicester. The provisional dates for the 1977 event are October 7, 8 and 9. At a close of conferenci dinner on Saturday, the presi dent Mr H. Grace told th, members that there was n4 doubt that when TMLs wen introduced members of au Institute would qualify auto maticaily for a licence.
