• Middlesbrough-based haulier Global Transport is pulling out of the haulage business and switching to skip hire after losing work from British Steel.
Most of the company's fleet is to be auctioned on Saturday 24 September, although managing director Malcolm Nee said the vehicles would be working until the day they were sold.
Nee believes skip hire could be more profitable than haulage.
