The Department for Transport (DfT) has published details of how many of each make and model of car and van are registered with the DVLA. The data makes fascinating reading, in particular when it comes to the survival rate of older vehicles. Vans that were once on our streets in their thousands have all but disappeared, while some of the more unusual models have become completely extinct.
