Cartwright expands trailer rental
CARTWRIGHT'S trailer rental operation will take on an extra 400 trailers over the next three months, bringing its rental pool to more than 3,000 trailers.
Cartwright Rentals is increasingly finding that new or prospective customers are opting to rent before committing to ordering new trailers.
Noticeable among the rental fleet is the number of doubledeckers —350 in total — that are proving ever-more popular. Cartwright Rentals operations director Phil Rodman says: The utilisation of doubledecks is 95% all year round. We are adding more doubledecks to the rental fleet."
He adds: "There aren't many singleand tandemaxle urban trailers about, but they are becoming copular again, as an alternative to rigid bodywork."
The number of sites from which Cartwright Rentals operates has also increased: a new site in Bruntingthorpe, Leicestershire, has opened, joining the existing outlets at Altrincham, Avonmouth, Manchester and Northampton.
