DURING 1985 CM is organising and sponsoring a number of events worth a note in readers' diaries. Some are long-established — others are breaking new ground.
Trucldest 85 takes place at the East of England Showground, Peterborough, on April 7 and 8 — the Easter weekend. Our own Components and Accessories show takes place on March 27/29 at Wembley Con ference Centre, London. Operators can see what is avail able, under one roof and in comfort; admission is free. Send for your ticket today to: ACE 85, Reed Exhibitions, Surrey House, Throwley Way, Sut ton, Surrey. Phone: 01-643 8040.
We are filling a hole in the coach and bus industry's calen dar. At Earls Court, London, on
September 11-14, we are organising an exhibition for bus and
coach operators and their cus tomers. This is a popular centre with the bright lights of Lon don's West End only a short Tube ride away. Details of this great show appear regularly in CM.
Those who have not heard of CM 's Fleet Management Confer ence must have been living on top of Mount Olympus these past 21 years. On October 17 we will hold the 22nd FMC at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.
The programme is wide, varied and imaginative. It will be published soon in CM, but we
can take your provisional reservation now. Write to The Editor,
Room 304C, Quadrant House, The Quadrant, Sutton, Surrey, for a registration form.
Among our other sponsorships are the Mark Vane memorial award in association with Volvo; Truckstop in association with Scania; and a number of regional seminars.
CM's Vehicle Livery competition, now in its eight year, is off the ground (see page 38 of this issue). Entry is open now.
Two special publications will be available in the spring. The
Tables of Operating Costs pub lished in association with Mercedes-Benz (UK) and the CPC
Questions and Answers booklet in association with Mitchell Cotts Transport and Distribution Services are recommended reading.
