• The RAC has concluded that British drivers are heading for a nervous breakdown, after a survey revealed that 80% feel tense or anxious on some or all journeys. The results, which also revealed that two in five drivers fear aggressive driving from others, have prompted the RAC to call on the Government to make stress management a key part of learning to drive.
RAC stress counsellor Conrad King warns that the increasing amount of traffic on the roads is likely to lead to higher levels of stress in the future. "The problem is not going to go away—it'll just get worse," he adds. ▪ A survey by Touchline Insurance reveals that Jasons, Darrens, Kevins and Lees make more motor insurance claims than anyone else. The names least likely to appear on claim forms include Ronald, Kenneth, Barry and Keith.
