lij his abnormal load from Holland was spotted at Fleet services on the M3. Relatively rare in Britain, the Volvo FL12 grosses 75 tonnes with a 6x4 four-axle low-loader trailer. Unusually for such a load there was no police escort. The driver, a mere slip of a lad on his first solo trip, was heard to complain that our service areas are too small. Listen here sonny, it's not our areas that are small, I think you'll find you're the one with the large girth.
