New training school for Rolls

• A new training school has been established within the diesel engine works of Rolls-Royce Motors Ltd at Shrewsbury in Shropshire. The school was previously at Derby.
The school provides courses for owners, operators and distributors on the construction, operation, servicing and troubleshooting of the Rolls-Royce range. General modifications and an introduction to overhaul techniques are also included.
The courses, which apart from accommodation, are free and are of five days' duration. They consist of lectures with slidei, sectional models and demonstration panels. The main part of the course is practical.
At the end of the course an examination on both theory and practice is taken by students and those who pass receive a certificate which is recognized by the Construction Industry, Road Transport Industry and the Engineering Industry Training Boards.
