ON 28 MARCH Commercial Motor will launch Health Challenge — a year-long campaign to improve the health and fitness of workers in road transport. Many men in the industry do high-stress but sedentary jobs, making them vulnerable to obesity, high blood pressure and heart disease.
The CM Health Challenge kicks off at Wolverhampton Truckstop on 28 March.Celebrity chef James Martin will offer free, healthy breakfast options; trained personnel will provide free health checks. These checks will also he available courtesy of CM at the CV Show, SED and Truckfest.
Each month we will run in-depth features on the biggest threats to men's health, with advice on what you can do to protect yourself and your workforce.
Shell, Renault and Iveco are backing the campaign, which is being staged in association with Truckfest, the British Lung Foundation and Men's I lealth UK.
