FORD'S REVAMPED Ranger pickup will hit the streets in September with a common-rail 2..5litre Duratorq TDCi engine that boosts output from the previous 108hp/226Nm to 142hp/330Nm.
Driveability is enhanced with revised suspension and a stronger chassis frame.
The interior has also been redesigned with new carpeting, panel insulation and, according to Ford, improved refinement.
Load-box capacity is claimed 1.0 be class-leading thanks to a 60rrim increase in sidewall height and a new arrangement of shelving built into the load area.
