A range of optical inspection in struments—the Endoprobe Series II—from Inspection Instruments (NDT) Ltd., permits brightly lit unobstructed viewing of internal bores, cavities, walls, tubes and assemblies.
The instruments can be inserted into cavities with a minimum depth of only 5.5mm. Standard lengths vary from 9in. to 59in. but special instruments to meet specific needs will be designed and manufactured upon request. The wide-angle field of view facilitates rapid viewing of the subject area, thus reducing time and cost. Angles of view include forward, lateral, fore-oblique and retroview.
When using a portable light . source box (mains 110V ac. or 200/250V a,c.) to project 150W, cold light is channelled via a fibre light guide cable to the fibre bundle assembled around the optical telescope. The illumination is concentrated upon the examination area only.
For more critical examination special narrow-angle instruments are available. With high resolving power, distant objects are brought into sharp close-up. To record observations, the Endoprobe Series ll may be used for either still or cine photogra phy, in black-and-white or colour, or it can be connected to closed-circuit television systems for simultaneous viewing by a number of people.
It can readily be employed for research, inspection, routine investigation, non-destructive testing, sampling, maintenance and numerous other applications.
