• British Transport Police will know within weeks whether to press charges against an East Anglian driver who allegedly ignored red lights at a railway crossing and almost collided with a 70mph train.
The Crown Prosecution Service is currently studying the police file to decide if he should be charged with endangering safety.
The driver, who works for a Peterborough firm, allegedly took his truck through the red lights at the Harts Drove crossing near Peterborough as the train approached.
At the time the police said a collision was just "seconds away", describing it as "an extremely foolhardy trick".
The train driver slammed on the brakes when he saw the truck but only managed to stop 200m beyond the crossing.
