• Shiftacar, a Birmingham car transporter, has been given two weeks to produce evidence of financial standing or face revocation. A claim by the company's owner, Israr Rahim, that maintenance records were destroyed in a flood was dismissed by the West Midland Deputy TC Miles Dorrington.
• The drivers of two refuse lorries that collided with each other have been fined a total of £576 after pleading guilty to careless driving at Mold Crown Court. One of the drivers had to be cut from his cab by fire fighters.
