• Daimler Chrysler and WABCO have issued a recall on Mercedes-Benz Actros heavyweights for a precautionary inspection of the truck's brake pedal system.
The recall follows two incidents in the UK in which Actroses operating in low temperatures have been affected by a build up of ice which has caused the brake pedal function to stiffen.
The companies stress there have been no accidents as a result of this.
Every Actros will be inspected and a replacement part will be fitted free.
