The top toys for C Every year toy retailers from all over the UK gather at the request of the Toy Retailers Association. They are asked to give their opinion on what the top-selling toy lines for Christmas will be. A consensus will be reached and a winner will emerge.
This year's top 12tagged the 'Dream Dozen' contains some names you may be familiar with (Lego, Monopoly) and some that are a mystery to all but children of a certain age. We have reprinted the top 12 below should you be desperate for a last-minute present, but be sure of one thing, there is only one winner this year -the Go Go Hamster from Character Options ("It's like having a real hamster, but without the mess and smells," declares the marketing blurb.) However, they are in short supply, so if you have a youngster who wants one, snap them up when you can.
The recommended retail price might be £9.99, but Character Options advises us that they are out of stock, and the cheapest we could find one was on eBay for £20.
