As something of an expert on puff, I was interested to learn of the latest developments in airbag technology. Already there are cars that have side as well as front airbags. And now Swedish company Autoliv Development has developed an elongated airbag that stows away above the car doors and windows. Upon impact the bags extend down to provide collision cushioning. The clever bit is that the door handles are not obstructed, thus allowing a speedy exit.
A curious sensation, I imagine: not unlike encountering that big bouncing bubble from the cult '60s TV programme. The Prisoner,
