ADMIRAL HARRISON has been elected president of the Diesel Engine Users Association, in succession to MR. A. E. CORNWALL-WALKER.

MR. J. AnaNsosi.has been appointed service superintendent to Leyland Motors, Ltd., at Kingston, in place of Ma. J. E. L. BEARE, who has resigned this position. Mr. Atkinson was formerly experimental superintendent,
MR. F. J. FIELD, director and chief engineer of Ferodo, Ltd., is soon' to retire from active participation in the affairs of that company, but will continue to act for it in a consultative capacity, as well as undertaking other work of this nature. Mr. Field is particularly well known in connection with the clever lectures which he gives on braking topics.
At a recent board meeting of Multiwheelers (Commercial Vehicles), Ltd., MAJOR HOOGHWINKEL resigned his position as joint managing director, but remains a director of the company. MR. GEORGE MACHRAY, who was joint managing director with Major Hooghwinkel, has now been appointed managing director. MR. W. E. R. LANGLEY remains sales manager, to which position he was appointed last January.
MR, T. W. JAUNCEY, of the Associated Equipment Co., Ltd., is to represent the company as service inspector in South Africa, where he will work in conjunction with the company's South African distributor, the Griffin Engineering Co., Ltd., Johannesburg.
The company is doing a ,steadily increasing business in South Africa.
Mn. SYDNEY C. SMITH has been appointed sales manager of Latil Industrial Vehicles, Ltd., and commenced his new duties on July 1. He has been with the Lath l concern since 1933, first as forestry expert, and later on the sales executive. His training in the commercial-vehicle field commenced in 1908 with William Allchin, Ltd., of Northampton, his uncle, Mr. C. P. Smith, being chairman of that concern. Following this, he had experience with a transport concern in the Midlands, and in 1926 was invited to join Fodens, Ltd.
